ENCYCLICAL I-2009
To all of the faithful:
'WE HAVE A MANDATE'
Over the past four months I have taken the opportunity to listen to the voice of God, while travelling and preaching the gospel, I have been pressed to spread our mission. Everywhere I travel I see the spiritual needs of that city.
The Mission of the ICHCOC
a.- The mission of the ICHCOC is to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, to teach and spread the Orthodox Christian faith, to energize, cultivate and guide the life of the Church according to the Ancient Christian faith and Sacred Tradition.
b.- The ICHCOC sanctifies the faithful through the Divine Worship, especially the Holy Eucharist and other Sacraments, building the spiritual and ethical life of the faithful in accordance with the Holy Scriptures, Sacred Tradition, the doctrines and canons of the Ecumenical and local Synods, the canons of the Holy Apostles and Fathers of the Church and of all other Synods recognized by the Orthodox Church, as interpreted by the Great Church of Christ in Constantinople.
Our Mandate has been to become a true representation of the Church as the Body of Christ bring the ancient faith to a modern world.
While we have para-church initiatives such as the CCEF, Vision 10/10 and our educational institutions, our mandate call for challenging today's church to embrace the true teachings of the Church Fathers.
Some in this have abandoned this rhema and instead chose the glory of Apsotolic Succession as a claim for their legitimacy. I am ever more determined to fulfil my vocation and am not detered by their errors.
This call is for the Ecclesia. The Church needs our faith more than ever. I charge the faithful to answer the higher calling of God and stand for the faith.
I will seek out in every major city faithful who have the desire to spread this truth and receive or consecrate 100 new fellowship bishops. I intend to do this with the blessing of the Holy Synod, but I will be obedient to the voice of God.
Upon successful completion of formation, these bishops can have full faculties in accordance with our canons
Attached to this letter is the fully adopted Fellowship Communities Policy for your readings.
May God, by the prayers of the saints make you strong and eminent in all good things,
++TIMOTHY PAUL
